Gunpla Report - Epyon 1/100

This weekend I went out and and bought the 1/100 Gundam model kits for the Epyon from Gundam Wing and the Akatsuki with both packs from Gundam SEED Destiny. I just finished building the Epyon and it was a small pain in the ass.
So where to start? Well the first thing I though when I opened the box was “Holy Shit!” Why? This is why:

The knife and pliers weren’t part of what came with it. So I started of twisting the pieces and then using the knife to cut off the rough edges but I though, ” I’m going to cut myself, and when I’m doing the Akatsuki I might shave off the gold-colored paint!” So that night I only finished the arms and the legs. Since I didn’t want to use the knife as much anymore i decided to get some nail clippers and they worked perfectly. About an hour later I had myself this:

So getting it to stand up properly was a pain-in-the-ass and certain things wouldn’t stay well like the head-”V”. I couldn’t put in the beam blade because it was hard to put it in without having to readjust the legs so it doesn’t fall. Next was to put it in mobile armor mode. It took some effot and it’s hard to keep it balanced but here’s the mobile armor mode:

I’m not going to even bother painting in the details. It looks good enough for me already
So next is to do the Akatsuki. It has at least twice as many pieces and is way more detailed. I should be done by Sunday unless I get a lot of free time this week. I hope this report on my build is good enough and I’ll bring you the next one soon.
